How I profit

Interested in how I plan to make money with this site?  Off to the left on every page is adsense.  I don't really expect to make much of anything off it, but it's free to try and not too annoying. Not like a huge, flashy, 'roaming' flash popup.  And on this page, I have information I want to sell you on.  If you like it, and sign up, it'll make me a few cents for every few dollars it makes you.

It's called my search funds.  It's been up for a few months now, and it seems fairly legitimate for what it does.  When it started, they were partnered up with ask.com, a search engine, to drive traffic to them for some revenue.  They share that revenue with people that use them... What makes it legitimate, is they pay you for searches, not for clicks.

That right there is my affiliate link for them.  If you decide to sign up for this, I'd appreciate if you used it, because it gives me a small bonus with no penalty to you.

Anyway, for some more information.  You don't get paid a lot per click, roughly 2 pence (so 4 cents if you're american).  Payment comes through paypal, 15 days after months end where you've made the minimum payout of 20 quid.

It's not too bad, so far I've had it just over a month and earned 4.32 myself. Yes, I know that looks like I just went down the number keys, but I promise you that's what it's at.  I don't make many searches, between 0 and 7 a day on average.  If you search a lot, prepare to have some of your searches disqualified as 'frodulent', because they do keep a look out for that.

Basically, if you do all your normal searching, and maybe a few extra per day, you should be alright.  And from what I've read, people that get those fraud search emails, don't get removed.. Just those searches disqualified.

Now for something fun.

A few weeks ago, I used their search program and found something very intereasting.  They were showing listings of ask, google, and msn side by side in their own window.  So I sent them an email saying it was neat, but ugly as sin and being unable to go into deeper pages is a pain.

Right afterwards, they closed the search for a couple days and put up a notice saying they were looking into doing something more lucrative for everyone.  So it might very well start paying out more as it uses more engines.

When they opened up for searches again, the only search engine they use is google.

Tips blatantly stolen from other MSF users:

Use it to search for websites you're normally about to go to anyway.  So if you're gonna go to saga's site, drop the term 'saga mmorts' into the search box and click the link instead.

From what I've read, it's best to keep your searches under 30 a day if you want to avoid the annoying fraud search mail.

Make your searches real searches.  Just searching garbage terms like giayhet is a sure way to have their bot disqualify the search.

Space out your searches a little.  Makes sense, give at least a few seconds between your searches so you don't look like a bot.. Or a user just searching for monies.  While you're there, you might as well click on a link or two and see what's there anyway.

Closing thoughts:

To sign up, they don't demand anything more from you than an email, and they don't send you junk mail.  I haven't gotten any email from them aside from the randomly generated password.

When you're getting near your first payout, you can give them the address for your paypal account and have them deposit any earnings in there directly.

So please think about it.  It's not a lot of money, but you won't find money any easier.
